ECEP is an emergency medicine group whose staff of 30 physicians is committed to providing the best emergency care in the southeastern North Carolina region.

ECEP's Practice Sites
ECEP physicians provide emergency physician services at three of the hospitals in Southeastern North Carolina. Listed below are these practice sites, along with a few specifics about each one.

New Hanover Regional Medical Center
Located in Wilmington, New Hanover Regional Medical Center, a level II Trauma Center, is the eighth largest hospital in North Carolina. This 506 bed teaching hospital and regional referral center treats approximately 78,000 emergency department patients per year.
Cape Fear Hospital
Also located in Wilmington, and owned by New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Cape Fear Hospital is a community hospital licensed for 141 beds and is home to New Hanover Health Network's Orthopaedic Center. Cape Fear Hospital's Emergency Department treats approximately 38,000 patients per year.
Pender Memorial Hospital
Pender Memorial Hospital is located in Burgaw, a short 20 minute drive North of Wilmington. Pender Memorial Hospital is a general acute medical and skilled nursing facility licensed for 86 beds and treats approximately 15,000 patients in its Emergency Department annually.
Pender Memorial Hospital enjoys the full support of the New Hanover Health Network.
